Olgaç Bozalp, Home: Leaving One for Another, Monograph

Photobook to go with the current exhibition of the series Home: Leaving One for Another by Olgaç Bozalp. The expansive project by Turkish born artist approaches themes of migration and explores the disparate, multiple and complex reasons behind it.

Rendered from his own personal history as a migrant, the project began in Bozalp’s hometown in Konya, Turkey. Bozalp creates visual narratives telling the many stories and histories behind such choices: whether it be forced migration in communities witnessing an uprising of gentrification, fleeing places of conflict, or simply in search of self-expression and new opportunity, either financial or existential.
