Chris Mann, Valley of The Moon, Print Edition

Translated literally as 'Valley of the Moon' in English, Jordan’s Wadi Rum desert is renowned for its red sands, Mars-like topography, and nomadic Bedouin tribes. Shot on black and white 35mm film, the series traces the viewer's imagination through a stark depiction of this dream-like world and its ephemera; offering a subjective window into a reality unbound by time or place.

Valley of the Moon Artist Book:
Limited to 100 copies, 200 x 290mm, 56 pages, 27 black and white plates, Soft singer sewn cover with red pearlescent end papers. The book includes written texts by Shana Chandra.

Limited Edition Silver Gelatin Print:
A choice of two 8x10” fiber based silver gelatin darkroom prints, each in an edition of 10. The print comes in combination with the book and is signed with pencil by the artist on the reverse.
